近代中国兴学三特点
[摘 要]由于缺乏兴办新式教育的经验，近代中国兴学观念、学制系统乃至一些具体措施，都来自对西方国家的模仿；由于缺乏兴学资金，政府积极鼓励民间资本进入教育领域；由于引入的是异质教育，教育与社会生产、生活长期难以适应。由此形成近代中国兴学过程中的三个鲜明特点：模仿发达国家的教育，广泛调动民间力量参与教育活动，教育变革与社会发展处于难以适应之中。

Abstract:The ideals and systems of modern Chinese education came from the developed countries because of lacking experience of running new schools. The non．governmental capital was encouraged into education field because of lacking the governmental funds. The education which differed from Chinese traditional education could not fit the needs of social development. There are three characteristics in modern Chinese education: Imitating the education of the developed countries, encouraging the non．governmental funds into education and the conflict of development between education and society.

近代中国教育变革的动因，主要不是来自教育自身发展的需要，而是社会变革。如果说思想与政治变革为教育发展创造了一个比较宽松的舆论氛围与政治环境，经济发展则是教育变革的重要原因。由于近代中国是'受外力刺激与挑战而从事工业发展及社会、政治变革的一种外发性的现代化“[1]，在变革过程中呈现出一些不同寻常的特征。这种特征体现在教育上则是：兴学观念、学制系统来自对国外的效仿；办学经费依靠民间的捐输；教育与社会生产...
